Christmas is the most festive time of the year at the Københavner Café. Many happy moments have been enjoyed with colleagues, friends, family or business associates. Traditions are something we love here, and we take pride in continuing to be one of the favorite Christmas lunch spots in Copenhagen.

This year, the Christmas lunch season starts on Friday 3/11 and continues until the New Year.

We are open Monday-Saturday from 11.30-24.00 (the kitchen closes at 22.00) and Sundays from 11.30-18.00 (the kitchen closes at 16.00).

For all days, we recommend booking a table well in advance, as we are very busy this sweet Christmas time.

For Fridays and Saturdays from 3/11-24/12 we have fixed seatings:

seating 11.30-13.45 here, smørrebrød from the menu is served
seating 14.15-18.00 only our famous Christmas table is served here
seating 18.30-00.00 only our famous Christmas table is served here

and Boxing Day we are open for lunch from 12.00-18.00 (kitchen closes at 16.00)
Only our large Christmas table is served here.

on 31/12 we are open for lunch from 12.00-16.00
We will be closed on 24/12 and 1/1.

Please note that during the busy Christmas period it is not possible to split bills, we only make a single bill for the whole group.

We do not recommend bringing children to Christmas lunches on Fridays and Saturdays, as there can be a particularly “loud” atmosphere on these days, which in our experience does not go well with children.

This year we have been forced to introduce a deposit for reservations on Fridays and Saturdays due to many no-shows in the last few years. 

Credit card information will be taken upon booking, we will not deduct any money unless you do not show up for your booking. This takes place via nets-easy’s Danish internet payment solution.

If you are late, please notify the restaurant directly on tel. +45 33328081. For all reservations, if you have not turned up 15 minutes after the reserved time, we can give the table to the other side.

3 hours with free beer/water/house wine DKK 365 (must be chosen by the entire company).

We have adjusted the amount of food to suit the average appetite. Should there be a need for one or two extra things, please let us know, we will be happy to provide a supplement.

We carry a large selection of beers on tap, and our snappy range is full of delicious drops that can whet the appetite and put a smile on most people’s lips. Most of our schnapps are available in poured measures or whole bottles.
